Excessive ear wax is a common problem. There are many over-the-counter remedies, but baking soda has been found to be as effective as any of them.
Mix 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda (not baking powder) in 2 ounces of warm water. Use a small dropper (dropper bottles can be found in most pharmacies) to put a few drops in each ear twice each day for a few days. Discard this mixture after 1 week, and mix up a new batch if you need it again. If you have a tube in your ear or a hole in your eardrum, talk to your doctor before using this mixture.
